Jeff ShearierPastor Jeff Shearier joined the Bethlehem staff in September, 2012 after serving in Colorado for 17 years. A graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Pastor Jeff also recently completed studies for a Doctor of Ministry degree at Concordia Seminary. He and his wife Anne are the parents of three grown children. Anne formerly served as a teacher of the deaf in the Cherry Creek School District in Colorado. He enjoys time spent with family and friends. Among his interests are hiking and exploring new places.

 

Eric OswaldEric Oswald is Youth & Children's Minister at Bethlehem. He grew up in Portland, attending Trinity Lutheran School and Portland Lutheran High School. He graduated from Concordia, St. Paul, Minnesota as a DCE and was called to Grace Lutheran, Sandy, Utah, where he served until September, 2012. Eric enjoys skiing, racquetball and Mario Kart.

 

kerryKerry Bauer is Bethlehem's Worship Coordinator. Kerry grew up in the congregation, graduated from Concordia University, Portland and spent a year traveling with a Christian musical program before returning to Bethlehem as director of children's ministry. After a two year leave to bring triplets into the world, she returned to Bethlehem as worship coordinator. Her husband Ben is a teacher at a Christian school and they are the parents of four children.

 

 

 

 

Carolyn MeierCarolyn Meier has served as the Director of Bethlehem's early childhood program since 1987. With 20 years of teaching experience and with a degree in elementary education as well as a degree in Early Childhood education from Seton Hall University, Carolyn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom every day. But most importantly, Mrs. Meier provides a tender spirit and gentle, caring nature that truly reflects the tender love of Jesus Christ. You can be sure that every child (and parent) receives a full dose of the love of God in Christ from our whole staff -- with Mrs. Meier leading the way in both word and actions.

Brenda ShultsBrenda Shults is our primary contact for our Early Childhood Center and Preschool and can take any inquiries and registrations. Brenda joined the staff in the fall of 2007 and prior to joining our congregation was a preschool director at a Lutheran church in Tualatin. Brenda also serves as receptionist and may be the person who answers the phone when you call.

 

 

Kerri Christensen is Bethlehem's Parish Assistant. She is responsible for general bookkeeping and publications for the congregation.
