Bethlehem VBS 2025

Online Registration is currently unavailable. You can register at the door on Monday, June 23rd.

Bethlehem’s Vacation Bible School takes kids entering pre-4 through 6th grade this fall on the ultimate Alaskan adventure here in Aloha, OR! As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North! We will start with a big gathering time of music and learning about Jesus and VBS, then get with guides into mixed age small groups to experience games, snacks, experiments, crafts, Bible adventures, and more! Pre-schoolers stay in stations designed for them- older kids are mixed together, than we come back at the end of the day for some great worship time together!

If you have questions or want more info call Bethlehem at 503-649-3380 or e-mail ericmoswald@gmail.com

Lent 2025

Join us for Lent!

What is “Lent”?

Lent is a season of the Church Year that lasts six weeks. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends the day before Easter Sunday. During these six weeks we look forward to Good Friday, the day our Lord died on the cross to pay for our sins, and to Easter Sunday, the day He rose from the dead to prove it!

Why do we celebrate Lent for 40 days?

Lent is a time when we are reminded of what Jesus gave up for us, and a time when we look forward to and prepare for His death and resurrection! During these 40 days, we remember God’s faithfulness to His people and how His faithfulness is complete in Jesus, our Savior. Jesus remains faithful to us, always.

Mid-Week Lenten Worship Services

Every Wednesday from March 5th (Ash Wednesday) to April 9th we will have services at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm. One or both of the services will be livestreamed.

Ash Wednesday

You may see something strange happening in church on Ash Wednesday. You’ll see your family and friends go forward to receive the sign of the cross on their foreheads. The strange part about all of this is that it will be done with the ashes from last year’s Palm Sunday palm branches.
Why do we do this?
Usually when someone gets dirty they know they need water to get clean. The ashes that are put on our foreheads remind us that in sin we are dirty and need to be cleaned. It also helps us to remember the first time the sign of the cross was made on us at our Baptism. In the waters of Baptism, we are cleaned and the dirt of sin is washed away. Ash Wednesday helps to remind us of this.

Festival of Lessons & Carols

On December 29th we will have our Festival of Lessons & Carols at 10am. Christmas songs are some of the most recognizable and beloved songs of the church. At the Festival of Lessons & Carols we sing many of these classics in worship of our amazing God, and we listen as His Holy Word guides us from creation to Christ’s coming. Holy Communion will be served. A potluck style brunch will follow.

Bethlehem Christmas Concert

Come celebrate the birth of Jesus through song!  Bethlehem’s annual Christmas Concert is Saturday, December 7th at 3pm.  You will hear songs from Bethlehem’s Worship Team, Adult Choir, Youth Choir, Handbell Choir, soloists, and more!

The best part of it all is that it is all free!  So come, be a part of a truly wonderful Christmas tradition!

Check out the event page on Facebook.
